Qatar has sent a group of mediators to Tehran, in coordination with the US, to hold talks with Iran.
According to Oxu.Az, citing Reuters sources, the delegation aims to help resolve outstanding issues regarding a peace agreement with Iran.
It was reported that Qatar has previously mediated in several international processes, including the Gaza conflict. However, after Iran struck Qatari territory in March, Doha withdrew from negotiations with Tehran.
Meanwhile, Turkey, Egypt, and Pakistan are also indirectly mediating in the process. The initial peace draft between the US and Iran includes a full ceasefire, a ban on mutual attacks, and freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz and the region.
