According to the Daily Mail, footage from last year's Vietnam trip showed the first lady slapping Macron's face while descending from the plane. Macron dismissed it as a "joke" or "argument".
However, French journalist Florian Tardif reveals a different version in his new book "(Almost) Perfect Couple". Tardif writes: "In fact, Brigitte saw a message from a famous Iranian actress". Sources confirm Macron wrote compliments to the actress.
