Former Armenian President Robert Kocharyan has been banned from leaving the country.

According to Oxu.Az citing Interfax, the head of his office, Bagrat Mikoyan, announced this.

He said Kocharyan was not allowed to leave Armenia at Zvartnots airport without explanation.

Earlier, the office of the former head of state had announced that he planned a three-day foreign trip for personal reasons.
