U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated that there will be no bonus or goodwill gestures for a potential agreement with Iran.
Rubio noted during congressional hearings that everything depends on conditions, and no initial concessions are planned for lifting sanctions.
He also emphasized that only sanctions directly related to Iran's nuclear program may be considered, and frozen assets will not be returned.
According to Bloomberg, the number of U.S. sanctions against Iran has reached nearly 2,000 over the past eight years.
