Russia unleashed the largest aerial attack on Ukraine since the war began, targeting Kyiv and other cities with hundreds of drones, Ukrainian officials said on Thursday.
President Zelenskiy stated that Russia launched over 1,560 drones since Wednesday. Overnight, Moscow fired more than 670 attack drones and 56 missiles. Air defense shot down 41 missiles and 652 drones.
"These are not the actions of those who believe the war is ending," Zelenskiy said. "Partners must not remain silent."
At least three people were killed in Kyiv and 40 injured. A nine-story residential building was partially destroyed. Rescuers are cutting through concrete to reach survivors.
Attacks targeted energy, port, and railway infrastructure. Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha said: "Only pressure on Moscow can force him to stop."
