Russia launches nuclear drills

Russia has begun military exercises for nuclear forces readiness. Over 64,000 troops and 7,800 equipment involved in strategic maneuvers.

Russia's Defense Ministry announced the start of military exercises for nuclear forces readiness.

The drills take place from May 19 to 21.

Strategic Missile Troops, Northern and Pacific Fleets, Long-Range Aviation, and military districts are involved.

Goal: Enhance capabilities to deter potential adversaries.

Over 64,000 troops, 7,800 pieces of equipment, 200 launchers, 140 aircraft, 73 ships, and 13 submarines participate.

Joint readiness and use of nuclear weapons stationed in Belarus will also be tested.
