Vyacheslav Volodin, Chairman of the Russian State Duma, announced new details about increasing fees for foreigners entering the country. According to him, payments will increase by 5-12 times, not symbolically.
This change will apply to those seeking residence permits or Russian citizenship. Volodin stated this in an interview on the "Russia 24" TV channel.
He explained that the State Duma considers it appropriate to revise fees to ensure more dignified payments from incoming foreigners. The politician added that foreigners must respect Russian lifestyle, know the state language, uphold traditions, and strictly obey laws.
