A storm and tornado in Russia's Sverdlovsk region have injured 16 people.
According to the regional department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, 16 people sought medical help as of 06:00 local time.
32 private homes were completely destroyed, and a temporary shelter for 50 people has been set up. Additionally, 99 homes, 25 cars, and 15 power lines were damaged.
The tornado struck on June 22, 2026, moving along the Nizhny Tagil - Kushva trajectory, downing power lines and trees, leaving thousands without electricity.
Local authorities declared a state of emergency in Kushva after the severe wind.
