Boris Titov, Russian President's Special Representative, announced that Russia intends to replace agricultural imports from Armenia with supplies from Azerbaijan.
He made this statement at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. Titov said: "We will replace what we lost with Armenia with Azerbaijan, because it is clear that Azerbaijan is more capable in agriculture."
According to him, Azerbaijan's agricultural sector has higher potential and can provide larger volumes of supply.
He also predicted that Armenia's possible accession to the EU would cause serious economic shocks.
