Russia-Ukraine: 160 prisoners of war exchanged

Russia and Ukraine exchanged 160 prisoners of war each. Russian soldiers returned from Ukrainian captivity with UAE mediation.

Russia-Ukraine: 160 prisoners of war exchanged

On June 26, Russia and Ukraine conducted another exchange of prisoners of war. 160 Russian soldiers were returned from Ukrainian captivity.

The Russian Ministry of Defense announced the exchange. In return, 160 Ukrainian Armed Forces personnel were handed over.

The returned Russian soldiers are currently in Belarus. Russia's Human Rights Commissioner Yana Lantratova is working with them.

After receiving psychological and medical assistance, the soldiers will be transferred to Russia. They will continue treatment and rehabilitation in Ministry of Defense medical facilities.

The United Arab Emirates provided humanitarian mediation during the exchange.
