Russia's First Appellate Court has upheld the 4.5-year prison sentence for Armenian blogger Arsen Markaryan, convicted of rehabilitating Nazism. TASS reported the court's decision.

Markaryan was convicted in March under Article 354.1 of the Russian Criminal Code. He was accused of insulting Soviet Hero Alexander Matrosov and posting a video justifying Nazi ideology.

The Moscow City Court sentenced him to 4 years and 6 months in prison. The blogger confessed his guilt. On August 23, 2025, investigators detained him in the Moscow region.
