NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte met with US President Donald Trump at the White House Oval Office. During the meeting, he gave a presentation on NATO's activities.
Rutte showed charts and said: "This is Trump's trillion. Europeans and Canadians have invested trillions in defense since 2017."
He noted that an additional $1.2 trillion was allocated to defense under Trump.
Rutte emphasized that European orders to US defense companies create thousands of jobs and benefit the US economy.
He called Trump a "magnificent president" and compared him to Dwight Eisenhower.
