A 69-year-old Canadian woman was killed during a safari in South Africa when a guide accidentally fired his gun.

According to the Daily Mail, the retired woman was visiting Kruger National Park with her husband and two children. After watching wildlife, the group stopped for a picnic at sunset.

The guide was recounting a story about shooting a kudu when his weapon discharged. The bullet struck the woman in the chest, killing her instantly.
