In Nizhny Novgorod, Russia, an 11-year-old boy fell victim to scammers while playing an online game.
Police have opened a criminal case.
The child was playing on his mother's phone when a stranger offered free game currency in the chat.
The scammer directed him to a messenger, convincing him to send a photo of his mother's bank card and share the confirmation code.
Result: 60,000 rubles (about $800) were stolen. The child also deleted bank notifications.
