Second strong earthquake in Chile within a week: 6-magnitude quake near Valparaiso. No damages reported.

A 6-magnitude earthquake struck near Valparaiso, Chile's main port.

According to the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre, the epicenter was located 38 km from Viña del Mar, a city of about 300,000 residents.

No casualties or damages have been reported.

This is the second strong quake in Chile within a week, following a 6.8-magnitude tremor about a week ago.
