Seven World War II bombs have been found in Bitburg, Germany. The unexploded ordnance, of US origin, was safely defused.
According to Tagesschau, construction work revealed a 125-kilogram bomb and six 30-kilogram shells, all manufactured by the US.
About 100 specialists were involved in the one-hour defusing operation. For safety, 200 residents within a 300-meter radius were evacuated.
