According to ABS-CBN News, staff asked media and personnel to leave the second floor after at least ten gunshots were heard.
It is reported that Senator Ronald de la Rosa, who has an arrest warrant from the International Criminal Court, is hiding in the building.
Senate President Alan Peter Cayetano said four senators received warnings to leave the building during the session.
