Five years ago, a historic event occurred in Turkey-Azerbaijan relations. Presidents Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Ilham Aliyev signed the Shusha Declaration. This document proclaimed the friendship of the two countries to the world.
Oxu.Az reports that "Haber Global" has prepared a special video about this. The material notes that the declaration, signed in Shusha, the pearl of Karabakh, is important not only for Turkey-Azerbaijan relations but also for the region and the Turkic world.
According to the declaration, if either party faces a threat to its independence, sovereignty, territorial integrity, or borders, both countries will act jointly. The choice of June 15 is no coincidence: that day Azerbaijan also celebrates National Salvation Day.
