Italy's Minister of Economic Development Adolfo Urso stated that SOCAR's investments in Italiana Petroli (IP) strengthen the country's energy potential.

In a social media post, Urso wrote: "I met with Azerbaijani Deputy Minister of Economy Anar Akhundov and SOCAR President Rovshan Najaf. The approval of the investment in IP reinforces Italy's position as an industrial and energy platform."
