A bank manager in South Korea stole $45,000 and replaced it with play money he had previously purchased.
According to Oddity Central, the scheme was uncovered when an employee noticed suspicious behavior and reported it.
The manager was removed from his position and returned all the stolen money. The bank handled the matter internally without involving law enforcement.
The play money featured images of ducks, bears, and other animals, completely different from real currency. The theft occurred at a small branch where only one person had access to the safe.
