Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez has gifted Pope Francis a bonsai olive tree as a symbol of peace and dialogue.
According to the Prime Minister's press office, the meeting took place at the Apostolic Nunciature in Madrid.
The Pope received Sánchez, who presented him with a 13-year-old Spanish bonsai olive tree.
This plant represents the ideal balance between tradition and innovation, respect for historical roots, and the application of advanced technologies.
"The olive tree is a universal symbol of peace, dialogue, and understanding - shared values of Spain and the Vatican," the press office stated.
