A 5.8 magnitude earthquake was recorded off the coast of Vanuatu in the Coral Sea.
The Altai-Sayan branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences' Unified Geophysical Service reported the event.
The earthquake occurred at 06:29 Baku time on Tuesday. The epicenter was located 63 km southwest of Port Vila, the capital of Vanuatu.
The U.S. Geological Survey also estimated the magnitude at 5.8 with a depth of 37.4 km.
