A 5.2 magnitude earthquake struck the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in southern China. Rescuers report that 13 buildings have collapsed.
The earthquake has killed at least 2 people. Over 7,000 residents have been evacuated, and 4 are hospitalized.
The epicenter was at a depth of 8 km. This is the strongest seismic event in the region in the last five years.
The affected area in Liuzhou city has a population of over 4 million.
