A World Bank representative, Mark Roberts, spoke at the WUF13 event.
He stated that urbanization in Sub-Saharan Africa is accelerating rapidly. Over the next 25 years, the urban population will increase by 742 million, reaching 1.7 billion.
Roberts emphasized the need to ensure this growth is sustainable and economically efficient.
He also highlighted the importance of avoiding chaotic urbanization models.
