The European Commission (EC) has fined Chinese online marketplace Temu 200 million euros.
The reason: sale of hazardous children's toys and uncertified energy adapters on the platform.
Tests showed that most adapters failed basic safety checks.
Children's toys contained excessive levels of harmful chemicals.
The EC has given Temu until August 28 to submit a plan to address the violations.
A final decision on the fine payment will be made within two months.
