Thailand plans to halve the visa-free stay period for citizens of over 90 countries.

The 60-day visa-free rule will be revoked, reverting to the previous 30-day limit.

For some countries, the visa-free stay may be further reduced to 15 days.

The Prime Minister stated that visa procedures will be more strictly managed to enhance security and promote quality tourism.

The 60-day rule was introduced in 2024 to boost tourist arrivals, but is being canceled due to misuse.
