Three sisters from Brazil have set a new world record as the longest-living siblings.
According to the Longevi Quest research center, reported by Need To Know, the sisters Lenita, Zoraida, and Zulina de Deus Nunes have a combined age of 316 years.
The eldest is 108, the middle 104, and the youngest 103 years old.
Born in Sergipe state, northeastern Brazil, Lenita (born June 1917) managed family affairs in her youth and later worked at a TV channel in Rio de Janeiro. Zoraida (born November 1921) taught elementary school and graduated from a renowned nursing school. Zulina (born March 1923) is a professional seamstress who financed the education of all six of her children.
The sisters are described as very close friends.
