A toxic chemical spill at an aerospace company in California, USA, has led to the evacuation of 44,000 people from nearby areas.
According to CBS News, citing sources, the incident occurred at a plant in Garden Grove. A tank containing 7,000 gallons (about 26,500 liters) of toxic methyl methacrylate leaked.
The chemical, used in plastic production, is highly volatile and flammable.
Authorities have not yet announced when the evacuation order will be lifted.
