US President Donald Trump has stated that he may replace some artists' performances at the Independence Day event in Washington, dedicated to America's 250th anniversary, with his own rally as the "world's biggest star."

According to Oxu.Az, he wrote on the social network "Truth Social": "Some performers hesitate to participate in the concert for the 250th anniversary."

Trump added: "I think I will invite the world's biggest star. Donald Trump, who draws more crowds than Elvis at his peak, who loves our country more than anyone, and whom some call the greatest president in history (THE GREATEST!)."

The president also instructed to explore the possibility of holding a rally titled "America is Back" in Washington instead of the artists' performances.

Earlier, CBS reported that the non-profit organization "Freedom 250" had released an initial list of artists planned to perform at the 250th anniversary event, but most of the stars later declined participation.
