US President Donald Trump announced that he has reached a ceasefire agreement in Lebanon with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the leadership of the Hezbollah movement.
Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform: "I had a very productive conversation with Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu. Israeli troops will not be sent to Beirut. All troops that were on their way have already been turned back. Similarly, through high-level representatives, I had a very good talk with Hezbollah, and they agreed to a complete cessation of fire. Israelis will not attack them, and they will not attack Israel."
Earlier, Iran's Tasnim agency reported that due to Israeli strikes on Lebanese territory, Iran has suspended message exchanges with the US within the framework of negotiations. According to reports, Tehran will not resume talks with Washington until Israeli troops are completely withdrawn from Lebanese territory and the strikes stop.
