According to Oxu.Az, Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform that the suspect was neutralized after exchanging fire with Secret Service agents near the White House.

Trump noted that this incident occurred a month after a shooting during a White House dinner, highlighting the need for a secure environment in Washington for future presidents.

The shooting took place on the evening of May 23 at the intersection of 17th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue, near a White House checkpoint.
