US President Donald Trump said the operation to eliminate Iranian General Qasem Soleimani was jointly prepared by the US and Israel.

According to Oxu.Az, Trump spoke about this at a press conference following the G7 summit.

"I eliminated him in a valley of death. He got off a plane and we watched him. Israel did not want to carry out the attack, but I made the decision", Trump stated.

Notably, Soleimani was killed by a US drone strike near Baghdad airport on January 3, 2020.
