US President Donald Trump has stated that Iran is eager to sign a new agreement with his country and continues negotiations with Washington.
"They are negotiating with us to reach a deal. They really want to sign an agreement," Trump said in an interview with Fox News.
The president added that in recent strikes against Iran, the US military used ammunition worth $250 million: "Last night we dropped bombs worth $250 million on them."
He also said he has no intention of launching a ground military operation against Iran, but the US armed forces are capable of doing so: "We could go in tomorrow. I don't want to conduct a ground operation. But if I wanted, we could send a small unit and take everything."
