US President Donald Trump has expressed strong displeasure with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's decision to strike Hezbollah targets in Beirut.

According to Oxu.Az citing Axios, Trump made the remarks in an interview with journalist Barak Ravid.

Trump questioned Netanyahu, asking "why did you launch this strike," and used harsh language against the prime minister.

"I was very angry. I told him that clearly. He has no common sense," Trump said.

Trump also demanded that Netanyahu refrain from further strikes against Hezbollah and ensure the strikes do not affect the US-Iran agreement.

According to journalists, the US-Iran agreement could be initially signed digitally in the coming hours, and later officially in Europe.
