US President Donald Trump announced a one-week pause in negotiations with Iran due to the farewell ceremony for Ali Khamenei.

Oxu.Az reports, citing TASS.

"They are desperate to reach an agreement. They want to agree desperately. We gave them a week because of the farewell ceremony," Trump said during a speech in South Dakota.

It is noted that Ali Khamenei's farewell ceremony began yesterday in Tehran.
