US President Donald Trump has warned he will punish countries that impose digital services taxes on American companies.

On his Truth Social platform, Trump wrote: "Many European countries are discussing digital services taxes against US companies. Some are close to implementing them. Let this be a clear message: any country imposing such taxes will immediately face 100% tariffs on all goods exported to the US."
