US President Donald Trump revealed that the United States secretly seized millions of barrels of Iranian oil during covert operations. He made the statement during a talk with journalists at the White House.
Trump said: 'Did you know we took millions of barrels of oil? Nobody knows. Iran was unaware. Recently, we seized 22 ships at night. They had no radar because we destroyed it. That's why oil is $85 per barrel.'
He emphasized that the US took millions of barrels every night. 'I'm saying this for the first time. We were taking millions of barrels every night. I'm saying it now because they already understand what happened,' he added.
Trump did not provide further details.
