Turkey and Kazakhstan sign strategic documents

Turkey and Kazakhstan have signed the Declaration on Eternal Friendship and over a dozen strategic documents, expanding cooperation in economy, education, culture, and defense.

Turkey and Kazakhstan have signed a number of important documents. Following meetings between Presidents Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the Declaration on Eternal Friendship and Expanded Strategic Partnership was adopted.

The signed documents include a protocol on legal assistance in civil matters, an agreement on the establishment of cultural centers, and an agreement on the promotion and protection of investments. An investment contract with TAV Holding and a memorandum of intent on the Abai-Akif program were also signed.

Other documents include the opening of two schools belonging to the Turkish Maarif Foundation in Kazakhstan, a cooperation memorandum between TRT and the TV and Radio Complex of the President of Kazakhstan, and a financing agreement for the construction of a multi-profile hospital. Cooperation agreements in the oil and gas sector were also signed.

Memoranda of understanding were signed between the Istanbul Financial Center and the Astana International Financial Center, and between the Istanbul Stock Exchange and the Astana International Exchange. An agreement on the joint production of ANKA unmanned aerial vehicles was also signed. Additionally, a memorandum on development cooperation between TIKA and KazAID, and a memorandum of understanding between Borsa Istanbul and Astana International Exchange were adopted.
