Turkey's Karsan company's driverless bus crashed on its first day of service in Gothenburg, Sweden.

Reuters reports that the bus, operated by Vasttrafik, suddenly braked and was hit from behind by a tram. Official representative Patrik Çi said the incident raises questions about autonomous public transport in city infrastructure.

The exact cause of the collision is under investigation. Although the bus was fully autonomous, a driver-operator was on board to take control in emergencies.
