UK Health Minister Wes Streeting has resigned, citing loss of confidence in Prime Minister Keir Starmer.

According to TASS, Oxu.Az reports the news.

"Having lost confidence in your leadership, I came to this conclusion. To act otherwise would be dishonest and against my principles," the minister said in a letter to Starmer.

Streeting expressed certainty that Starmer will not lead the Labour Party into the next election.

According to British political analysts, the 43-year-old politician is one of Starmer's strongest rivals for the party leadership. The resignation is believed to open the door for him to lead Labour.
