Britain is facing a deepening political crisis. Health Secretary Wes Streeting is calling for Prime Minister Keir Starmer's resignation.

According to 'The Times', Streeting has initiated the formal procedure to remove Starmer as party leader. The decision may be announced on May 14.

The crisis follows Labour's defeat in local elections on May 7. The party lost its majority in Wales and 1,400 seats overall.

Starmer has accepted responsibility but refuses to resign. About 90 Labour MPs are demanding his departure.

Four ministers have already resigned in protest: Myatta Fahnbulleh, Jess Phillips, Alex Davies-Jones, and Zubir Ahmed.
