On June 16, the United Kingdom will announce a new sanctions package targeting ships carrying liquefied natural gas (LNG) to Russia.
The statement was released by Prime Minister Keir Starmer's office on the eve of the G7 summit in Evian, France.
According to the document, London will blacklist nearly 600 ships suspected of having ties to Russia.
Additionally, the British government will impose restrictions on companies involved in purchasing Western technologies for the Russian military.
Official London also plans to increase pressure on third-country suppliers providing financial services to Moscow.
Recall that a day earlier, the European Union imposed new sanctions on Russia, blacklisting over 80 individuals and organizations, including those from friendly countries.
