The United States and Iran have agreed to halt mutual strikes, according to Axios journalist Barak Ravid, citing sources. The deal includes plans for consultations in Doha on June 30 to resolve differences over the Strait of Hormuz.
A senior US official confirmed that both sides have agreed to stop striking each other. The meeting in Qatar's capital aims to address disputes related to the strategic waterway.
Initially, the parties planned to hold talks in Switzerland on Iran's nuclear program, but due to recent escalation, the location and main topic were changed. US technical team leader Nick Stewart will participate in the consultations.
