The United States has become the world's largest oil exporter for the first time, amid the impact of conflicts in Ukraine and Iran.
Oxu.Az reports citing Reuters. Since 2010, US shale oil and gas production has skyrocketed, making the US the world's largest natural gas producer and then the largest oil producer.
US tensions with Iran have negatively impacted Saudi Arabia's oil exports, while Russia's oil exports have suffered from Ukrainian drone attacks and international sanctions.
For the third consecutive month, the US maintains its position as the world's top oil exporter. In May, the US supplied 10.5 million barrels per day to the global market. For comparison, Russia exported 7 million barrels per day, and Saudi Arabia 5.9 million barrels per day.
