To celebrate the 250th anniversary of US independence, a time capsule was buried in Philadelphia for future generations.

According to Oxu.Az, this was reported by Fox News.

In Philadelphia, where the Declaration of Independence was adopted in 1776, a cylindrical capsule weighing about 400 kilograms made of stainless steel was buried at a depth of 4.5 meters.

All US states, major American organizations, the Library of Congress, the Supreme Court, and various sports associations contributed different exhibits to the capsule.

Scheduled to be opened in 2276, i.e., 250 years later, the capsule contains letters from governors, an iPhone 17 Pro Max, commemorative coins, AI predictions about the future, US flags, postcards, and photographs.
