Two US citizens were detained in Japan after entering the enclosure of a famous macaque named "Panch".

The incident occurred at a zoo near Tokyo. A 24-year-old student entered the cage while his friend filmed.

A zookeeper intervened within a minute and removed them. Panch became famous online after being abandoned by his mother and bonding with a toy.

Panch now lives with another young monkey named Momo, and visitors often see them playing together.
