The US Navy has deployed two missile destroyers equipped with laser weapons in the Arabian Sea, southeast of Iran.
According to Oxu.Az, citing The War Zone and a US Navy representative, the destroyers USS Spruance and USS John Finn operate under CENTCOM's responsibility zone in the Middle East.
The ships are armed with the ODIN (Optical Dazzling Interdictor, Navy) laser system, designed to blind and disorient attacking drones.
The system can also neutralize cameras and sensors on enemy ships, submarines, and aircraft reconnaissance and targeting systems.
