The United States is experiencing an anomalous heatwave, resulting in at least 25 deaths.

According to NBC News, citing state authorities, New Jersey recorded the highest number of fatalities with 22 deaths. One death occurred in Illinois, and two in Mississippi.

Many victims were found in homes without air conditioning, while others were found on the street or in parked cars.
