US authorities have intercepted a boat carrying 240 illegal migrants from Haiti.

According to Oxu.Az, the head of the US Customs and Border Protection Service, Rodney Scott, reported this on his X account.

This week, air patrol agents detected a watercraft attempting illegal migration by sea, with 240 Haitian migrants on board, - he noted in the post. - The overloaded boat was taking on water and at risk of sinking.

Scott reiterated that attempts to migrate to the US illegally are both very risky and do not guarantee entry into the country.
