A phone call between U.S. President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has revealed tensions between the two allies.
According to Oxu.Az, this was reported in a video by Baku TV.
In a statement, Netanyahu said: "I spoke with President Trump and told him that if Hezbollah does not stop its attacks on our cities and citizens, Israel will strike terror targets in Beirut. Our position remains unchanged."
Meanwhile, Axios reported a tense dialogue between the two leaders, with Trump reportedly asking Netanyahu: "Why are you expanding military operations in Lebanon?" It is also noted that Iran has abandoned negotiations due to Israel's expansion of the war against Hezbollah in Lebanon.
